One unique feature of ICG is our focus on donating vegetables to our neighbors. Specifically, each garden donates 10% of their produce from their garden to nearby residents who are physically unable to garden but still want to include fresh vegetables and herbs in their diet through our First Fruits Program. In addition, we raise and donate from set aside gardens cared for by each pod member to nearby shelters and soup kitchens throughout the season . Here’s one garden manager’s recent comment:
“We were all amazed at all the veggies and herbs harvested on Saturday!!!
We bagged almost 12 bags and donated everything to the women’s shelter!”
Why not stop by and see for yourself why ICG gardens are friendly and inviting?
