Despite being under the weather, but for the grace of God, I was able to pull off the training this morning. I apologize to the folks who know me to be bubbly and engaging for not being myself. Please forgive me; there was no intended offense. But what a wonderful turnout, more than 60 volunteers!!!
Thank you Pastor Darrick and the congregation of The Well for your generous provision of your facility to house our event. Not only was it gracious of you but your tips and assistance made for an easy transition which allowed us to complete our training professionally and efficiently. It is certainly our pleasure to count you as one of our partners at not only Prairie Pond but now, our Seneca St. garden.
As I mentioned at the outset, both Bob and I are so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you who came to serve, to support and to encourage others, many of whom you won’t get to meet until they are guided to the gardens. To our garden novices, we pray during your first year that your yes is on the table that you will be the joyful recipients of personal experiences that will strengthen your witness to serve and to encourage others. For our ‘veterans‘, we are overwhelmed with your continual willingness to serve joyfully, enthusiastically and trustingly. We know our God answers prayer and our prayer for all of you is for each of you to be strengthened in your faith, supported in your trials and continually replenished to further your walk with Christ. For those of you who were not able to make it today, we pray your needs will be met and that whatever kept you from our gathering will pass so you will again be a part of our loving family at the garden.
Thank you for your time this morning, thank you for your willingness to serve others and thank you for putting your yes on the table when you heard our request to join us. We look forward to serving together for the 2018 harvest!
