Tuesday, November 28 is Giving Tuesday. ICG is in need of donations to help us continue to develop community garden sites and programs.
Please consider becoming a supporter by making a tax-deductible donation.

In 2012, myself and Richard Tedeschi started a local 501(c)3 nonprofit called Imagine Community Gardens. Today, Nov. 28, is Giving Tuesday, an annual charity-driven day for you to consider donating to a charitable organization. I appeal to you to consider supporting our local nonprofit organization this year.

This year we:

  • Built and operated our fourth site, Prairie Pond Community Garden in Getzville
  • Beautifully maintained and operated two sites in the city of Lockport, and one at a women’s shelter in the City of Buffalo
  • Distributed over 200 beautiful flower pots and annual flowers to neighborhood children during our annual Kids’ Flower Day
  • Created more than 25 vegetable dishes made from fresh vegetables from our gardens to sample on our Meet a Chef Day
  • Distributed more than 200 pumpkins to neighborhood children during our annual Kids’ Pumpkin Day
  • Donated more than $1,000 of fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers to nearby charitable organizations
  • Raised more than $400 per family of fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers to participating community garden participants

We also enjoyed repeated opportunities to meet and develop loving, supportive relationships with more than 160 families through our community weekly garden activities, with volunteers from seven local churches. We are now in prayer for developing two new gardens for next year; six gardens in six years!

Would you please consider partnering with us? Tax deductible donations can be made by clicking on the image above. If you are associated with an organization that would like to partner with us, I would be honored to speak before your board to demonstrate how I can demonstrate how we will be responsible stewards of your support.

Thank you for your time and consideration in  this appeal and I look forward to keeping you apprised of our progress in the coming months!

Bob Zima,
Executive Director
